This course will address modern environmental issues. Instructor Liz Champeon will take students through the eight building blocks of our environment to give a better understanding of how earth’s systems work, how they are impacted by the changing climate and what scientific advances are available to address current energy needs. Each week will cover a different topic (building block). Liz is a geologist with more than 30 years of experience working in the private sector, as well as federal and state agencies. She has loved geology since studying dinosaurs in the fourth grade.
This free 8-week course begins on March 19th and will be offered on Zoom.
